The Bengali department of Deshabandhu Mahavidyalaya started its journey from the beginning of the college. Instead of traditional method of teaching we believe in innovative practices like Group discussion, question-answer method of teaching, seminar presentation etc. We also use web resources. Student centric, ICT enabled, participatory and interactive teaching learning methods are promoted. Our department has an interactive teaching learning methodology to maintain the quality. So we use Traditional testing methods combined with innovative methods to make the learning experience unique. The performance in each course of study is evaluated based on internal assessment and Final examination at the end of the semester. The teachers and the students of the department work together to assure the success of the various other college functions. The students also take part in sports, dance, drama and recitation at various colleges and inter college competition.
