Chemistry

The department of chemistry has passed through a progressive journey from its inception in 1973. Initially it started its journey with pass course program but later it was upgraded to offer honours course. The department has 4 (four) full time faculty members and 1(one) non-teaching staff. The intake capacity of the department is 19 (UR-9, SC-4, ST-1, OBC-A: 2, OBC-B: 1, EWS -2) for 3-year degree program and 20 (UR-10, SC-4, ST-1, OBC-A: 2, OBC-B: 1, EWS-2) for 4-year Honours program. The department has one departmental library with various text and reference books. The laboratory of the department is equipped with various instruments like conductivity meter, highly precise digital balance, distillation unit and magnetic stirrer.
